A man’s body was found stuffed in a couch by a cleaning crew in a Brooklyn apartment Thursday morning, police said.
The gruesome discovery was made by a crew sent to a Crown Heights building on Union St. near Utica Ave. that includes units for the mentally disabled.
Police were first called to the location at 8:53 a.m. by a caller reporting a burglary. But that call was made by someone who did not know a cleaning crew was coming and mistook them for robbers, police said.
Police left only to be called back 30 minutes later when the cleaners discovered the body of an adult man inside a couch.
The city Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how and when the man died. Cops are working to identify him.
