MARATHON, N.Y. (WBNG) — A Seneca Falls man was arrested after a physical altercation in Marathon on Wednesday.
According to New York State Police, on July 1, troopers were dispatched to a residence on West Main Street for a report of a domestic incident.
An investigation revealed that a verbal argument had escalated and become physical, at which point Zacjaroa W. McCutcheon, 35, allegedly struck and kicked two people and choked one victim at the residence.
McCutcheon complained of pain and was transported by ambulance to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center for an evaluation.
En route to the hospital, police say McCutcheon became combative and kicked a trooper in the face.
City of Cortland Police assisted on the scene once they arrived at the hospital.
After being released from the hospital, McCutcheon was charged with two counts of assault in the third degree and criminal obstruction of breathing.
He was then processed and turned over to the Cortland County Jail for arraignment.
