Truck fire on NYS Thruway sends thick smoke billowing into sky

Chili, N.Y. — A truck caught fire on the New York State Thruway Thursday evening, sending thick smoke into the air and briefly disrupting traffic.

According to a witness, the incident occurred near the Union Street Bridge in Chili.

Authorities have not yet released information about the cause of the fire or whether anyone was injured.
