NEW YORK (WBNG) — Children and Adults who attend certain programs throughout the summer may be eligible for free meals.
Participating programs with the Child and Adult Care Food Program provide access to free meals across New York State.
Currently, 1,258 organizations and 13,441 licensed day care sites participate in the program, including:
Childcare centers, including Head Start centersCommunity-based adult day cares for adults with disabilitiesAfter-school programsHomeless sheltersFamily day care programs
The level of support for free or reduced-price meals received by all eligible participants is based on household income as follows:
Eligible New Yorkers can receive free meals through state food assistance program(WBNG)
