OZONE PARK, Queens (PIX11) — A woman is accused of fatally slashing her 59-year-old mother in the neck in their Queens home on the Fourth of July, police said.
Bridgett Ramlakhan, 30, was arrested Sunday for allegedly killing her mom, Ausha Ramlakhan, in their home on 128th Street in Ozone Park at around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the NYPD.
Authorities found the mother with a slash wound to the throat. Medics pronounced her dead at the scene, police said.
The daughter fled the scene before she was apprehended over the weekend, police said.
Bridgett Ramlakhan was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, authorities said. Her arraignment was pending on Monday.
It was unclear what prompted the attack.
