The NYPD says a man was shot in the head in Parkchester Monday evening.
The violent scene unfolded near Archer Street and White Plains Road just before 8:15 p.m. Monday.
News 12 crews viewed surveillance video of the shooting from a nearby business, which shows the victim standing in a group when the gunman walks up to him, taps him with the gun and fires.
Police say EMS rushed the victim to Jacobi Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition as of 9 p.m.
Officers quickly sectioned off a portion of the sidewalk with crime scene tape as they gathered evidence.
