LEE, N.Y. — The New York State Police said a missing Town of Lee horse was found on Tuesday morning.
The horse, named “Dory,” was missing around 5 a.m. The state police responded to an animal complaint after it was posted while traveling south in the area of State Route 26 and Streun Road in Lee.
Troopers checked with “numerous” residents before Dory was found.
The police noted that she has now returned home safely.
“The New York State Police would like to thank the community members and media who assisted in sharing information and helping reunite Dory with her family,” the state police said.
