On June 30, 2026, at approximately 4:56 p.m., New York State Police responded to a report of a physical altercation involving a firearm near William Street and Queen Street in the village of Lyons, Wayne County.

The investigation determined that a verbal dispute escalated into a physical altercation between multiple individuals. During the incident, one of the occupants of a vehicle allegedly displayed a firearm and threatened the victim while preventing others from intervening.

Troopers quickly located the suspect vehicle, a 2015 Chevrolet Trax, and conducted a traffic stop on Geneva Street in the town of Lyons. All five occupants were safely detained.

During a protective frisk and subsequent probable cause search of the vehicle, Troopers recovered two loaded handguns, including a loaded 9mm CZ P-07 equipped with a conversion kit and laser attachment, and a loaded Ruger .45 caliber pistol that was determined to have been reported stolen by the Rochester Police Department in September 2024. Troopers also recovered multiple high-capacity magazines and ammunition.

Najib H. Brown, 21, of Waterloo, N.Y., charged with:

Harmonajah D. Shorter, 20, of Waterloo, N.Y., charged with:

Latrell A. Graves, 19, of Savannah, N.Y., charged with:

All five individuals were processed at SP Lyons and transported to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment.
