Weeks after New York City’s Democratic Socialists of America chapter swept primary night and knocked out several incumbents, Democratic party leaders in Albany and Washington are still bracing for the arrival of the incoming slate of democratic socialists who won their primaries.
Jessica González-Rojas won the Democratic primary race for state Senate against incumbent Jessica Ramos for Senate District 13 in Queens. While she was not formally endorsed by the city’s DSA, she is a member.
She joined NY1’s Bobby Cuza on “Inside City Hall” Wednesday to discuss her win and more.
González-Rojas is currently a member of the state Assembly, representing parts of Queens like Astoria, Corona, East Elmhurst, Jackson Heights and Woodside.
