Detectives are investigating after a man was stabbed to death on a Bronx street on Sunday morning, as murders in the area surge.
According to police sources, the slaying unfolded near East 183 Street and Grand Concourse at around 6:48 a.m. Cops from the 46th precinct responded to a report of an assault and discovered a 46-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to the right arm.
He was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital by EMS, where he could not be saved and was pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending proper family notification.
Meanwhile, police said the attack was sparked by some kind of verbal dispute. The man reportedly got into an argument with several individuals that ended with him being mortally wounded. While cops did not provide a description of the suspects, they did say they are on the hunt for multiple individuals who fled into several different vehicles.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
According to NYPD statistics, murders in the confines of the 46 Precinct are up a whooping 133.3%. As of July 5, there were seven murders in the confines of the Fordham, University Heights, Morris Heights and Mount Hope neighborhoods compared to just three in 2025.
