The 2026 MLB Draft unconventionally began on Saturday this year. Saturday, in Philadelphia, featured picks number one through 135. New York selected three times on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the second day of the draft, which spans rounds five through 20, will be streamed on MLB.com, MLB TV, MLB+, beginning at 11:30 am ET.

In all, the Mets have a total draft pool of $6,730,900 because their first pick was pushed back 10 spots for being over the luxury tax, and they lost their second and fourth highest picks due to signing Bo Bichette, who had the qualifying offer attached.

They did receive a fourth round pick when Edwin Díaz signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers after the Mets extended him the qualifying offer.
