Two people were taken into custody following a violent Staten Island crash Monday that saw a white SUV barrel through a fence and smash into the front of a house, authorities say.
No one in the Grasmere Avenue home was injured when cops say the driver lost control and crashed into it shortly before 5 a.m. Police say someone called 911 to report a reckless driver in the area at that time.
When they arrived, they saw a 2012 Nissan Rogue in a two-story home.

The individuals taken into custody were not with the vehicle at the time. Police say they were apprehended after a canvass of the area. It wasn’t clear if either of them was hurt.
The investigation is ongoing.
