The City of Syracuse has adopted a new climate action plan.

Efforts will be made toward improved energy use, alternate transportation, climate change education, cooling shelter access, flood mitigation and urban forestry.

Mayor Sharon Owens says the plan “identifies strategies for the city to increase climate resiliency and quality of life.”

The Sustainable Syracuse Initiative is partially funded by a grant through the state Department of Environmental Conservation. You can view the full report at syr.gov/cap.
