Anne Hathaway Looks Regal in Custom Prada at ‘The Odyssey’ New York Premiere

Anne Hathaway arrived at The Odyssey premiere in New York in a flowing white Prada gown with a sparkling halter top.

“She is definitely the queen,” Matt Damon said on the carpet. Hathaway, who is expecting her third child, wore her hair in an updo, and kept her jewelry minimal, completing her look with hoop earrings and a bangle.

The actress, styled by Erin Walsh, has been on a maternity style streak during the Odyssey press tour. Despite her almost-guaranteed position on best-dressed lists, she doesn’t consider herself a fashion person.

“I view myself more as a guest,” she explained to V Magazine. “I think it’d be an insult to someone whose education revolved around it, whose life revolves around it… I think there’s a degree of stamina and schlepping involved in being a proper fashion person. I’m very grateful to be a guest. I mean, I’ve studied it, but it’s informal. I’m aware of the history. I love fashion photography. And I’ve been welcomed for a long time and been shown great kindness and generosity by people whose lives it is. But I’m an actress first.”

In The Odyssey, which premieres this Friday, July 17, Hathaway plays Queen Penelope. “Working with [director] Chris [Nolan] for the third time, it doesn’t get old,” she told Elle. (They previously collaborated on The Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar.) “You become even more awed by it, by how rare it is. To get that experience once is so rare. Twice—what a gift. Three times—I don’t even have words for it. And so I’m very aware of how determined I am to be harmonious with it all, because look at this…If I’m not enjoying it, then really, really what’s wrong with me? If I can’t have a positive outlook on it when I’m having such a fortunate ride, then it would be wasted on me.”
