A man waiting for the subway in a Bronx station was shoved into the side of an arriving train by a stranger, police said Wednesday.
Cops have released surveillance footage of the suspect in the unprovoked attack and asked the public’s help identifying him and tracking him down.
The 47-year-old victim was waiting for the Manhattan-bound D train to stop and open its doors at the Fordham Road station when the attacker, without saying a word, shoved him and ran off about 2:20 p.m. June 27, cops said.
The victim’s head slammed into the moving train. Medics took him to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition with injuries to his face and mouth, police said.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
