Help is needed to find a Brooklyn Park teenager who has been missing for almost a month.
Karen Schmitz, 13, went missing on June 22 in the 8500 block of Edinbrook Crossing North. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) said that despite an extensive investigation to find Schmitz, she was not located and authorities are unsure of her current whereabouts.
Schmitz is described by the BCA as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with black hair and black eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a white shirt with a black Nike jacket, camouflage pants and black shoes.
Schmitz left her home on foot in an unknown direction. Authorities said she is known to have connections to the Chicago area.
