A Bronx man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly shooting his niece to death as she sat inside her car earlier this week.
According to police sources, 58-year-old Michael Foster was taken into custody on murder charges after he was accused of executing his own relative on Monday.
Officers from the 47th Precinct rushed to 4385 Murdock Ave. in Wakefield at 11:36 p.m. on July 13 after several gunshots were fired in the area. Cops discovered 39-year-old Julia Anderson slumped over next to her Jeep. She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to her chest, abdomen, and arm.
The fatal shots had been fired through the front windshield when she had been sitting in the vehicle; sources close to the case said she had fallen from the car after being struck. EMS rushed Jacobi Hospital, where she could not be saved and was pronounced dead.
Sources close to the investigation said that Foster was Anderson’s uncle, and they lived at the same address. They added that the pair had been in an ongoing dispute over ownership of the home.

Sources say Anderson has finished her shift at a nearby group home for disabled individuals and was about to head back to her home when Foster allegedly opened fire.
“My younger daughter came, and she told me, and my heart felt like it was going to come out,” Anderson’s mother, Beverly Patterson, told ABC7.
Detectives led Foster out of the 47th Precinct in cuffs late Wednesday night, where he hung his head and refused to answer questions from amNewYork as he was placed into the back of a police vehicle.
He has been charged with murder, manslaughter, and ten counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
