NEW YORK (PIX11) — Morning commuters traveling via subway between Manhattan and Queens may need to find travel alternatives.
Service on the N, W, and R lines is running with severe delays between the two boroughs after a track fire broke out in the connecting tunnel.

Downtown B and D trains are running with delays after EMS was requested for a person in need of medical assistance on a train at 7th Avenue.
E trains are being rerouted after a person was struck by a subway train at the 7th Avenue station, the MTA announced at around 8:43 a.m.
Downtown E trains will run via the F line from 5th Avenue/53rd Street to West 4th Street-Washington Square.
Some downtown F trains will run via the G line from Court Square to Bergen Street.
There are delays on the No. 1 line after the FDNY responded to a track fire near 231st Street.
