Queens of the Stone Age will perform in Singapore on Dec. 2 at The Star Theatre, according to the band’s official website. Fans have waited decades for this moment.
The show starts at 8 p.m. It’s their only stop in the city-state. Tickets become available through presale events beginning on Tuesday, July 21.
Josh Homme started the group back in 1996. Since then, they’ve racked up nine GRAMMY nominations while releasing album after album.
Songs for the Deaf launched them into the mainstream in 2002. Tracks like “No One Knows” and “Go With the Flow” cemented their status as one of rock’s most powerful forces.
Homme is the sole constant member through years of lineup changes that have featured Dave Grohl, although he was mainly on records, and Mark Lanegan.
The group released their new single “Easy Street” and has been playing shows across Europe and North America on their System of a Down cross-continental world tour. In Times New Roman, their latest album dropped in 2023.
“It’s kind of a funny song,” Homme said of the song in a press statement, according to Pitchfork. “It’s like hitting your funny bone, where it’s funny because it hurts and it hurts because it’s funny. You’re serious, but it’s funny.”
He added: “We made it the way you’d make a demo. No click track, mistakes left in. It speeds up, it slows down, the claps aren’t great, but they’re not bad, and a bad clap adds this human thing you can’t fake.”
As for the concert, the setlist will cover material from throughout their history if recent London performances are any indication. They switch things up from night to night.
The artist presale runs Tuesday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to 11.59 p,m. Mastercard holders get access from July 22 at 10 a.m. through July 23 at 10 a.m. Live Nation members can purchase tickets July 23 from 2 p.m. to 11.59 p.m. General sales start July 24 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
This performance is part of the You’ll See tour kicking off in November.
