BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — An 18-year-old woman was shot in the chest at a subway station in Brooklyn on Sunday night, according to the NYPD.

The incident happened around 11:45 p.m. on the southbound No. 2 platform at the President Street-Medgar Evers College station.

Police say the victim was shot in the chest and transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Sources say the shooting stemmed from a robbery.

There have been no arrests in connection with the incident.

No other information was made immediately available.
