The New York State Police Troop L Computer Crime Unit (CCU) along with other members of the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (NYSP BCI) coordinated a proactive operation conducted over several days that resulted in the arrest of two individuals attempting to sexually exploit children online on misdemeanor and felony charges.

The proactive investigation utilized undercover investigators and advanced cyber investigative techniques to identify individuals who used online platforms to communicate with who they believed were minors for the purpose of arranging in person meetings to engage in illegal sexual activity.

Edwin Antonio Sabillon Jr, age 24 of West Babylon, New York State Police

Charged with :

• Attempted Rape 2nd

• Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Attempted Disseminating Incident Materials to a Minor 1st

Sabillon was arraigned on July 17,2026 at 9:00 at Suffolk County First District Court.

Anik Conley-Das, age 36 of Norwood, Massachusetts

Charged with:

• Attempted Rape 2nd

• Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child Attempted Disseminating Incident Materials to a Minor 1st

Das was arraigned on July 18 at 9:00 am at Suffolk County First District Court.
