The Giveback for Shawn Initiative was established in memory of Shawn Saguid, who lost his battle with Intimal Sarcoma in 2017. What began as a way to honor his legacy has grown into an annual community initiative dedicated to raising awareness and funds for sarcoma research while supporting local artists and small businesses throughout New York. Road to the Giveback brings together musicians, media professionals, community leaders, and residents from across the borough for an evening centered on philanthropy, advocacy, and the arts. This year’s Road to the Giveback event will take place on Saturday, July 25, at Sanger Hall, 48-20 Skillman Avenue in Woodside. Doors open at 7:00 pm.
