NEW YORK (PIX11) — High pressure is making its way into the tri-state region, bringing much-needed quieter weather.
A cold front passing through the Northeastern US may still bring an isolated shower or thunderstorm for our region early Wednesday evening. Otherwise, the rest of the night will feature partly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping into the mid 60s.

Thursday and Friday will be gorgeous as high pressure moves in and settles across the region. Expect mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the lower 80s.
It will remain nice and dry through the weekend. There will be a few more clouds around, with temperatures holding in the lower 80s.
Monday may feature the chance of showers as a cold front approaches the region. It will be a bit more humid as temperatures top out in the mid 80s.
A better chance of showers will develop through the middle part of next week as another storm system moves through the region.
