Four local teens, including three Greenon High School graduates, will compete for 2026 Clark County Fair Queen on opening day, Friday, July 24, in the Big Tent. Jazlyn Paul, Gabriella Halderman, Kaylee Smith and Maila Snyder are the candidates who hope to succeed 2025 Fair Queen Kylie Corbitt.
Jazlyn Paul
Paul graduated from Greenon a few weeks ago, attended Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center and was a Greenon FFA member. She is enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard and her future goal is to work in livestock animal science or law enforcement.
She’s been active in the fair for several years, doing a special project, showing chickens and serving on the Junior Fair Board for two years.
Paul said the fair has been a special part of her life even before showing and wants to be a positive role model as queen. “It’s more than just an event to me. It’s a place where I’ve grown, learned important lessons and made unforgettable memories.”
Gabriella Halderman
Halderman is a 2026 graduate of Greenon and Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center and works at Northside Veterinary Clinic and Rural King. She was in Springfield-Clark CTC’s FFA organization. She’ll attend Sinclair Community College to study in the veterinary technician program and wants to work in veterinary medicine.
Her fair participation began in middle school and she’s exhibited several animals, worked booths, done floral projects and completed several activities. She’s also participated on the Junior Fair Board.
Halderman’s decision to run for queen was inspired by the fair shaping who she is today. “Through my involvement in 4-H, FFA and the Junior Fair Board, I have developed leadership skills, a strong work ethic and a passion for agriculture that I want to continue sharing with others.”

Kaylee Smith
Smith graduated from Greenon in 2025, where she was in FFA, and just completed her freshman year at the University of Findlay and works at Northside Veterinary Clinic. She would like to become a veterinarian.
She’s been active in the fair for a decade — participating in 4-H, exhibiting a variety of animals, completing projects, and serving in several roles.
Her 4-H and FFA activities helped Smith grow in several ways and she wants to use that experience as queen. “Being given the opportunity to serve as Fair Queen would allow me to give back to a community that has given me so much.”
Maila Snyder
Snyder graduated from Northwestern High School this year and will attend the University of Cincinnati where she’ll study for a career in radiologic technology. She was in Northwestern FFA and in 4-H.
This will be her 10th year exhibiting at the fair with a variety of animals and she has participated in multiple side projects from baking and sewing to photography.
The fair has been a defining part of Snyder’s life and she has become friends with several previous fair queens. “Their dedication, along with the support of my role models, has inspired me to give back to the community that raised me.”
