Police have released images of the two suspects wanted for stabbing an off-duty cop in Queens early on Wednesday morning.
The photos were released by the department less than 24 hours after one of their own was attacked during a night out on Bayside’s Bell Boulevard on July 22.
Cops said the attack unfolded after the 30-year-old officer, who is assigned to the 69th Precinct in Brooklyn, was walking with a friend outside of 39-26 Bell Blvd. at around 12:40 a.m. Wednesday when two men on a scooter approached him from behind.
Sources familiar with the case said the individuals stated something in Spanish before using a knife to slash the off-duty cop in the right hand. Both individuals then fled northbound on Bell Boulevard.
The incident was reported to the 111th Precinct. Police said the wounded cop was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.
Police said one of the suspects was last seen wearing a white shirt and grey pants, while the other donned a blue shirt and multicolored shorts.
