Two men were stabbed in an unprovoked rampage on the Upper West Side near Central Park on Thursday afternoon, according to cops and law-enforcement sources.
The knife-wielding brute allegedly jumped the first victim, a 57-year-old Asian man near West 84th Street and Central Park West and stabbed him in the torso, at around 1:30 p.m., police and the sources said.
The second victim, a 50-year-old man wearing a yarmulke, was attacked as he was leaving synagogue at Central Park West and West 86th Street, and also stabbed in the torso, according to cops and sources.

The suspected stabber, who sources describe as a 51-year-old man, was caught around 2:45 p.m. after he allegedly barricaded himself inside a NYCHA apartment just blocks away on Amsterdam Avenue near West 88th Street, cops said.
A knife was recovered, police said.
Both victims were brought to Saint Luke’s Hospital, where they were listed in critical condition, according to police.
It was not immediately clear why those victims were targeted.

One of the broad-daylight attacks was witnessed by a UPS driver, according to the sources.
Charges were not immediately filed against the suspect, who sources said has two open arrests – both for drug possession back in 1991.
