On July 22, 2026, at approximately 11:46 a.m., New York State Police at Newfield arrested Scott E. Goodrich, 62, of Newfield, for Burglary in the 3rd degree, a class “D” felony and Theft of Services, a misdemeanor.
An investigation determined that Goodrich, who resides in an apartment on Elmira Road in Newfield, illegally entered a vacant apartment unit and ran a power cord to his apartment to obtain electricity.
Goodrich was arrested and processed at SP Ithaca then transported to the Tompkins County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.
