SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — If you can’t drive directly to the fair, Centro is once again offering an alternative in the form of park-and-ride locations.
“Centro’s making it quicker, easier than ever this year, in a few of the lots you can pay upfront for round trips so that at the end of the night when you’re ready to leave, you don’t have to fumble for money,” said Julia LaFave, director of the New York State Fair.
“And you don’t have to wait for everybody to pay (on the return trip). You’ve had a long day; you’re tired. They can just load in and go,” she added.
Frequent departures will be made from the following locations:
Centro Transit Hub in downtown Syracuse: 599 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, N.Y.
Destiny USA: 9090 Destiny USA Drive, Syracuse, N.Y.
Long Branch Park: 3813 Long Branch Road, Liverpool, N.Y.
All buses consistently depart from 8:45 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. Return services from the fair run from 9 a.m. through 11 p.m., with the last departure being 9:00 p.m. on Labor Day.
To ride from the Centro Transit Hub, the fare is $1 each way. At Destiny USA and Long Branch Park, there’s a $2 upfront charge. For senior citizens, children ages six to nine, and people with disabilities, the fare is reduced to 50 cents from Centro Transit and $1 from Destiny USA or Long Branch Park.
Children ages five and under can ride for free with an adult. For more information on Centro rides, click the following link to visit Centro’s website, or call (315)-442-3400.
