Jordyn Woods may have brought the New York Knicks some good luck this year — but she’s not taking credit for their stunning NBA championship win.

Woods, who is engaged to Karl-Anthony Towns, went viral thanks to a bright orange bag she sported throughout the Knicks’ playoff run. She dubbed the $125 “Tux Clutch Mini” from her own line, Woods by Jordyn, a good luck charm leading up to the NBA Finals, and it was quickly embraced by the entire Knicks fanbase.

“I started wearing it and became really superstitious during the playoffs,” 28-year-old Woods told Bustle.

“I started making TikToks, and my ‘Get Ready With Me’ [videos were] part of my superstitious routine,” she continued. “And everyone started saying, ‘Where’s the bag? Where’s the bag?’ So then I felt like a responsibility to everyone to keep bringing the bag.”

The bag “hysteria” peaked following Game 3, which was attended by President Trump. His presence prompted Madison Square Garden to issue a “no-bag policy,” that forced Woods to leave behind her lucky charm.

“It’s the only game they lost,” she noted.

“Then I was able to bring it to the next one — we won,” she continued. “I don’t like to take credit for the Knicks team. They’re super talented, and they all work so hard to be there. But it was really fun how many people genuinely felt like we won because of this bag.”

Because of its power, Woods’ clutch was was also recently on display at the Guggenheim.

The New York Knicks wrapped a breath-taking 2026 postseason run by winning their first NBA championship in 53 years. Lead by finals MVP Jalen Brunson and Towns, the team blasted through their initial rivals to take down the San Antonio Spurs 4-1 in the NBA Finals.
