On July 26, 2026, the Westchester County Real Time Crime (RTC) Center broadcast a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) regarding a stolen vehicle traveling northbound on Interstate 684 through the Town of Harrison.

Members of the New York State Police assigned to the Somers barracks observed the vehicle traveling northbound on Interstate 684 and conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 19.3 in the Town of Lewisboro.

The operator was identified as Sadavian L. Donald, 42, and the passenger was identified as Amanda Nichols Oropeza, 42, both of Charlotte, North Carolina.

During the roadside investigation, Troopers recovered a plastic bag containing approximately 22 grams of a white crystalline substance, presumptively identified as methamphetamine, along with a methamphetamine pipe.

A subsequent probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a Glock 20 handgun and three unloaded ammunition feeding devices.

Following further investigation by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) in Somers, both Donald and Oropeza were arrested and charged with:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (Intent to Sell) – Class B felonyCriminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree (Methamphetamine) – Class C felonyThree Counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (Ammunition Feeding Device) – Class D feloniesCriminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree – Class D felonyCriminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree – Class A misdemeanor

Donald was additionally charged with:

Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree – Class D felonyVehicle and Traffic Law violations

Both defendants were processed by the New York State Police and arraigned in the Town of Lewisboro Court. Donald was remanded to the Westchester County Jail pending his appearance in the Town of Lewisboro Court on July 27, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. Oropeza was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, a $30,000 secured bond, or a $35,000 partially secured bond.
