LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens (PIX11) — A 62-year-old man’s skull was fractured when he was pushed into a pillar in a Queens subway station on Saturday, police said.
The man was attacked after getting off the No. 7 train at the Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue subway station in Long Island City at around 4 p.m., according to the NYPD.
The victim got into a fight with a straphanger before he was pushed and fell backwards, hitting his head on the pillar, police said.
The man was taken to the hospital with a skull fracture and a cut on the head, according to the NYPD.
The suspect ran out of the station after the incident. There have been no arrests.
