PROSPECT HEIGHTS — THE BROOKLYN MUSEUM announced its public programs for August, including the August edition of First Saturdays, a conversation with Julian Shapiro-Barnum about his new book, and jazz performances.
The August edition of First Saturdays will focus on “Where Brooklyn Meets the Caribbean.” The event is free. “Summer Jazz” takes place on Sunday, Aug. 16, and Sunday, Aug. 23, in the museum’s lobby. Museum on Wheels will visit Prospect Heights on Aug. 1 and in East Williamsburg on Aug. 8.
Podcaster, social media personality and webseries host Shapiro-Barnum will visit the museum on Thursday, Aug. 6, for a conversation about his work with children and his new book with Tefi Pessoa, a fellow podcaster and entertainer. This event requires tickets.
