A woman died in Queens after an SUV driver fatally struck her as she stood in a bike lane early Saturday and rolled away without stopping, cops said.
The woman, believed to be in her 60s or 70s, was standing in the northbound bike lane on 99 St. near 57th Ave. in Corona, possibly about to cross the street, when a dark-colored SUV slammed into her about 1:30 a.m., police said.
The driver never stopped and continued to head north on 99th St., police said. It was not immediately clear if the driver knew he had hit anyone.
Medics rushed the woman to NewYork- Presbyterian Queens, where she later died. She had no ID on her and has yet to be identified, cops said.
No arrests have been made.
