BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — Three 16‑year‑old boys were arrested in connection with a shooting that injured an 87‑year‑old woman and an 18‑year‑old man, police said.
Police said that around 3:49 p.m. Friday, stray bullets fired near Barnes Avenue in the Bronx struck the woman in the face and torso and the 18‑year‑old in the hip.
Both victims were taken to local hospitals in stable condition. The shooter fled north on White Plains Road, according to police.
Following an investigation, officers arrested three 16‑year‑old males on Saturday.
Two were charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon. The third teen was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
