Mater Dei defeated San Juan Hills in the championship round of the Queen’s Court girls volleyball tournament’s Elite Division Sunday (Aug. 2) at Momentous Sports Center in Irvine.
Queen’s Court is a preseason tournament that is not part of the CIF Southern Section season. The CIF-SS girls volleyball season begins Saturday (Aug. 8).
Mater Dei was a CIF State champion last season. The Monarchs defeated San Juan Hills in last season’s CIF-SS Division semifinals.
The Queen’s Court tournament did not select all-tournament teams nor a tournament MVP.
