BOROUGHWIDE — ALL 11 CAMPUSES of the city’s public hospital system have been named in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2026-2027 Best Hospitals list for its treatment across several medical specialties, NYC Health + Hospitals announced Wednesday.
NYC Health + Hospitals’ acute care facilities were recognized for treating conditions such as heart failure, heart attack, hip fracture, kidney failure, colon cancer, diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The hospitals were selected from approximately 5,000 hospitals nationally across 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience.
The Brooklyn campuses named on the list were Kings County Medical Center, for COPD, diabetes, stroke, heart failure, kidney failure, leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma; South Brooklyn Health/Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital for heart failure and heart arrhythmia; and Woodhull Hospital for diabetes, heart failure and kidney failure.
Other private hospital systems were also recognized.
