Queens of the Stone Age have launched their own complaints hotline for “fans, friends and foes” to dial in and air their “gripes and grievances”.
The Southern California band has dedicated an entire hotline to servicing the bad and the ugly within us: Just call +1 (760) 437-1966 to share your “moans and groans, chagrin’, carpin’” and other judgements.
The line, which will run 24/7, promises to review all complaints personally.
Avid fans of the rockers will be excited to hear that there is a chance that a handful of callers may even “find a live ear at the other end of the line”.
Explaining the curious hotline, Josh Homme and co have shared matter-of-factly, “Sometimes people just need to complain, and Queens of the Stone Age are here to listen.”
Whether the hotline is part of some bigger musical ploy has yet to be determined. There’s a chance it could be used as part of their live act, as the band is currently charging through a joint tour with Foo Fighters, which opened in Toronto on August 4th.
Elsewhere, the group recently released their new single, ‘Easy Street (featuring Nikki Lane)’, which marks their first new music since 2023’s In Times New Roman.
Explaining the track, which is purposefully shot through with small imperfections, Homme explained, “It’s not just about silliness. It’s about understanding the imperfection of your life. The song, like your life, is in the mistakes. Its imperfections are unbeatable.”
This year, Homme has proved himself to be an unpredictable guy; most surprisingly, the singer recently lent his vocals to a new Shania Twain track, ‘Faded Blue Jeans’, a single taken from her upcoming album, Little Miss Twain.
He also appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox while in the UK last month alongside Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears.
