Will County Sheriff’s police issued 488 speeding citations, 3 seat belt citations, 5 for child car seats, 3 for cell phone violations, 21 for suspended/revoked licenses, 39 for uninsured motorists, and 148 other violations, the sheriff’s office announced.

The speed enforcement effort was part of the “Speeding Catches Up With You” campaign and was made possible by federal highway safety funds administered by IDOT.
