During the 2026 enforcement detail, Troopers issued 221 child restraint violations, 284 seat belt violations,55 other violations and there was one DWI arrest.
“The New York State Police remind motorists that seat belts and properly installed child safety seats can significantly reduce the risk of serious injury or death in a crash,” state police said, announcing the results of the effort. “Drivers should ensure that every occupant is properly restrained before traveling.”
