Black Brook man arrested on illegal weapons charges as New York State Police seize cache of guns
A North Country man was arrested after police seized dozens of guns from his home in Black Brook.
The New York State Police Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested Michael Ward at his home on Birchwood Drive on Tuesday as they executed a search warrant.

Police said they seized 42 guns, including two assault rifles, a sawed-off shotgun, components for other assault rifles and nearly a dozen high-capacity ammunition feeding devices during the search. They also seized 50 grams of psychoactive mushrooms, the release said.
Ward was charged with four counts of criminal weapon possession. He was ordered held at the Clinton County Jail until his next court appearance.
