ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The race for New York State Supreme Court in the 7th District was a tight one, but the results are becoming clearer.
With over 100% of the vote counted, two Democrats, David Siguenza and Darius Lind are in the lead. The distance between Lind (24.05%) and Republican Joe Dinolfo (23.13%) is less than one percentage point, but now totaling more than 4,000 votes, 112,078 to 107,784.
News 8 reached out to the New York State Board of Elections to find out how many absentee ballots have yet to be counted.
Siguenza ended up with 117, 614 (25.24%) after Tuesday. Kristina Kitty Karle finished with 101,788 (21,84%).
The 7th district is made up of Cayuga, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne and Yates Counties.
