Manhattan parks and rec waterparks have welcomed more than 100,000 visits this season, and there’s still time to enjoy the water before summer wraps up.
City Park Waterpark’s final day of the season is Saturday, and CiCo Waterpark will close on Sunday.
City officials said community members are also invited to bring their dogs for Pet Poolooza on Sunday at City Park Waterpark. Admission is $6 per human (dogs get in free). This event is open to everyone in Manhattan and the surrounding areas. All dogs must be up to date on vaccines and show proper licensing if applicable. Pets residing in Manhattan city limits will need a city license.
Northview Waterpark will stay open for an extended season, which runs Aug. 10 through Sept. 7. Morning water aerobics will be Monday through Friday, public swim will be available on weekends only and rentals will be offered daily during morning and evening times. Public swim also will be available on Labor Day, Sept. 7.
The Splash Park at City Park is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily during warm weather months. Admission is free. The water at the splash park will be turned off when the weather gets too cold.
