Teen boy shot dead in Bronx house while he and pal play around with gun

A 17-year-old boy was shot dead in a home in the Bronx early Monday — apparently as he and a friend were playing around with a gun, police said.

The teen was shot in the head inside a house on Prospect Ave. near E.169th St. about 5:10 a.m., cops said. He died at the scene.

Police said it wasn’t immediately clear if the teen shot himself by accident or if his friend accidentally pulled the trigger.

There were no immediate arrests. The victim’s name was not immediately released.
