SUNSET PARK — MAIMONIDES HEALTH on Monday cut the ribbon on its new Adult and Pediatric Care—7th Avenue location in Sunset Park. Located at 6323 Seventh Ave. at 64th Street, the practice brings adult primary care, pediatric primary care, obstetrics and gynecology, endocrinology, urology, nutrition counseling, and soon neurology services, under one roof, with an emphasis on women’s services and family care.
The site features a playroom for children, a lactation room, same-day appointments, online self-scheduling, and coordinated care across specialties, allowing patients to address multiple healthcare needs in a single visit, Maimonides said in a release.
In December, the city announced that Maimonides Health would merge with NYC Health + Hospitals, New York City’s public hospital system, to stabilize its finances. However, the merger hit legal roadblocks, and in March, the New York Attorney General’s Charity Bureau decided against efforts to obtain administrative approval, sending the case to the courts, according to the Brooklyn Eagle.
