According to the NYPD, the 54-year-old home health aide was stabbed while inside an apartment in 210 East 73rd St., between Second and Third avenues, mid-day on Saturday.
The defendant, Barbara Salberg, has dementia and confused the home health aide for a different attendant, who she believes stole from her, according to a report from the New York Daily News. The victim had made pancakes for Salberg and served the meal shortly before the stabbing broke out, the New York Daily News reported.
