Palmyra, N.Y. — New York State Police said a driver was killed Monday when his logging truck overturned in Wayne County.

Police said they responded to State Route 21 south of Temple Road in Palmyra at 4:49 p.m. for a report of a single-vehicle crash.

Investigators determined a 74-year-old man was southbound in a logging truck when he failed to negotiate a curve, according to police. The truck went off the road, overturned and came to rest near a large bolder.

Police said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Firefighters removed him from the vehicle.

No further information has been released. Police said the crash remains under investigation.
