Gloria Estefan and daughter Emily Estefan will preview their musical Basura, which made its world premiere at Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre earlier this year, at a March 8 concert planned for Carnegie Hall. Gloria Estefan and Emily Estefan: A Night of Rhythm and Storytelling will see both Estefans making their Carnegie Hall headlining debuts.

Emily Estefan will perform her own original music, and Gloria Estefan will be joined by Miami Sound Machine to recreate some of their greatest hits. To preview Basura, which tells the true story of Paraguay’s Recycled Orchestra, the Estefans will be joined by members of the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura alongside cast members from the world premiere. The performance will also feature choreography by Patricia Delgado.

Both gala and concert-only tickets for the event will go on sale August 13 at noon, at CarnegieHall.org.
