SOUTH NYACK, N.Y. (WPIX) – A Mack truck driver somehow walked away unscathed after crashing into an overpass on I-87 in New York, but one other person was hospitalized as a result of the crash.
Dashcam video obtained by Nexstar’s WPIX shows the moment a 50-year-old driver from South Carolina crashed his tractor-trailer into the overpass at around noon on Monday.

The crash sent cargo and debris from the trailer flying all over the road and toppled the truck over on its side as it skidded down the pavement.

Police said the truck hit a parked car that was on the side of the road. The driver of that car was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

The truck driver was ticketed for an over-height vehicle. The truck is registered to Eastern Express, Inc., of Indiana, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
