Wolcott, N.Y. — A woman was killed in a crash early Wednesday in Wayne County.
New York State Police said they responded to State Route 104A in Wolcott just before 2 a.m. for a report of a single-vehicle crash involving a utility pole.
Police said they found a vehicle had left the road and struck a pole, causing extensive damage and separating the vehicle into multiple sections.
The driver and sole occupant, a 23-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released.
Police said the crash remains under investigation.
