One lucky Knicks fan is walking away with a piece of championship history after buying one of the city’s “Champions Way” street signs from an online auction.
One of the 30 blue-and-orange signs that hung along Broadway during the Knicks’ ticker-tape parade sold just after 8 p.m. Wednesday for $35,531.36, according to the city’s Department of Transportation.

The winning bid was $30,500 before taxes and fees.
The city said the sign was in “like-new” condition and had been installed along the parade route for two weeks before being auctioned.
The handcrafted sign was made at the DOT’s Sign Shop in Maspeth, Queens. It measures 36 inches by 9 inches and is made of durable aluminum, according to the city.
Bidding started in late July and climbed steadily throughout the past two weeks.
The Knicks won their first NBA championship since 1973 in June, beating the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
Proceeds from the auction will go to the city.
